To create custom categories for Message Forum posts, or to create a category that is only accessible to specific User Groups, such as board members or managers, then this is the guide for you.
1. To create a new Message Forum Category go to Administration.
2. Click on Global Settings
3. Click on Message Forum tab
4. In the Message Forum Categories section click on the Create button
5. Enter the Name of the category and specify which User Group or User's should have access to this Message Forum Category
6. Click the Save button.
In this guide we created a Message Forum Category named Board Member Discussions. From now on, when you create a post in the Message Forum and specify the Board Member Discussion category, only Board Members will be able to see it and access it.
